ROBERT O'BRIEN, CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Bob OBrienBorn and raised on the Central Highlands, Bob lived on his family's sheep, cattle & grain property south of Capella. He started his Local Government career with the Peak Downs Shire in 1982 as a cadet clerk.

In 1994, after completing 12-and-a-half years at Peak Downs, Bob and his wife moved from Capella so he could take up the position of Deputy CEO with the Cloncurry Shire. In 1997, Bob was appointed to the Jericho Shire as CEO.

From there Bob has spent five-and-a-half-years at Longreach Regional Council, Consulting with PIB and a number of other Councils, specifically in the finance and management area, before beginning with Barcoo Shire in October 2010.

Bob is married to Gillian and they have two children.

STEVE SIGLER, DEPUTY CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Steve SiglerBorn & raised in South Australia, Steve livid in the mining town of Coober Pedy for 12 years. He completed schooling in Alice Springs before moving to Adelaide where he completed his degree.

In 1996, Steve moved to Jundah to undetake a joint partnership in a mining operation, which continued through to 2005. In 2005, he commenced work with the Barcoo Shire as a plant operator.

Over the years, Steve worked his way up through the ranks in the road construction, before taking on the position of Workplace Health and Safety Officer.

In 2013 Steve was appointed to the position of Strategic Works Manager and in July 2015, Steve was appointed the role of Deputy CEO.

Steve is married to Ana Marie and they have 2 children. Steve enjoys golf and the outdoor lifestyle.

WILLIAM PITMAN, MANAGER OF OPERATIONAL WORKS

Bill PitmanBill grew up in the Moree and Bingara district on his parents properties. Leaving New South Wales in 1970, his working career took him to Womblebank Station at Mitchell, and Galway Downs at Windorah, before travelling to Robinson Rover in the Northern Territory to work for 12 months.

Bill then returned to work on various properties in the Barcoo Shire, moved to Jundah to educate his children in 1985, and started at Barcoo Shire Council as a truck driver.

In 1987 he became Maintenance Foreman, and has ramained at Council since. Bill is Married to Debbie and they have 3 children. Bills interests are bronco branding, horse racing and cricket.
