The Barcoo Shire Council is committed to promoting, developing and supporting the arts across our communities. Through the Arts and Culture Strategic Plan 2025 - 2030, Council recognises the important role local government plays in encouraging arts, crafts and cultural activities that strengthen community connection, creativity and local identity.
Council's Arts & Culture committee was established in 2021 with the purpose to provide recommendations to Council on arts and cultural matters. The Committee is made up of local community representatives and is comprised of the following members.

Regional Arts Development Fund
RADF promotes the role and value of arts, culture and heritage as key drivers of diverse and inclusive communities and strong regions. RADF invests in local arts and cultural priorities, as determined by local communities, across Queensland.
