Barcoo Shire Council operates and maintains airports in each of the three towns in the Shire.

Windorah Airport

Windorah Airport is unmanned and is located on the north-eastern side of town with the airport having both Commercial and Private operations. There is Jet A1 and Avgas available at the airport. Bookings are required. 

COMMERCIAL OPERATIONS - FLIGHTS INTO THE SHIRE 

The airport is utilised by Commerical Airline Regional Express (REX) and operates services to Brisbane via Quilpie/Charleville/Toowoomba on Tuesday & Friday each week and services to Birdsville/Bedourie/Boulia & Mt Isa on Monday & Thursday each week. Other passenger flights are available via Longreach on QANTAS Airlines.
*Please note there are no commercial transport connections to Stonehenge (150kms), Jundah (200kms) or Windorah (300kms).

Jundah Airport

Jundah Airport is unmanned and is located on the Southern side of town. The airport is utilised by private aircraft and for medical purposes (RFDS). There are no fuel facilities available at this airport.

Stonehenge Airport is unmanned. The airport is utilised by private aircraft and for medical purposes (RFDS). There are no fuel facilities available at this airport.

Community Benefit Funds
The Community Benefit Funds Unit within the Office of Liquor and Gaming Regulation administers non-recurrent grant programs for not-for-profit organisations.

Jundah public library obtains quarterly book exchanges from the rural libraries services of the Queensland State Library. Specific information or material can be requested through these libraries providing an excellent service to the local communities and tourists.

Located within the Rural Transaction Centre, the library offers a wide range of material from Junior Fiction through to Adult Large Print Fiction, Non-Fiction, Reference, Paper backs and Magazines. For those who enjoy listening to a book whilst driving or doing the housework, gardening etc., there's a great selection of audio tapes for all ages. Music CDs and DVD's  for the toddlers through to adults are also available.

Access the internet free (time limits apply), or make use of the computers for study, community involvement or personal use. All computers are equipped with scanners, DVD and printers.

For those living on rural properties wishing to access the library services; this can also be arranged.
